When the cold rattles our bones and cabin fever settles in, we pay a visit to our neighbourly farmyard friends in Vermont. Luckily they’ve opened their doors to the curious folk for warm cider and some barn animal love. It happened to be Mila’s birthday and a fitting place for this cow-loving girl to turn five. In no time, she’s bonded with one of the calves who nuzzles with her Butterfly pinafore. She’s a target for cuddles dressed head to toe in London-based brand, Wynken.
We’ve been donning this look since snow took to the skies in New England. While Mila is immersed in the study of butterflies at school, her sweatshirt is a fitting nod to the theme. I have a soft spot for earth-toned, mod jumbo corduroy and the essential black turtleneck. She harmonizes with the calm and beauty of our bucolic afternoon.
While we may be new to Wynken, it won’t be for long. Creative textures and modern cuts have us looking forward to next season. Themes carry through each collection with a playful and modest approach. The consumer in me appreciates that each of these pieces can be worn a number of ways with other items from her wardrobe.
After a day at the farm, hearts are happy and one of us is another year older. Hats off to a well-spent afternoon with the birthday girl!
